My Friday started with some words from my mom, reminders of the wrong things that I’ve done. However, I didn’t mind it because I was still sleepy when she talked to me. So by the time I got out of my bed, I was smiling and I didn’t know why. But my sister-in-law didn’t talk to me, I think she was mad at me. So what I did was smile at her, that was all because I didn’t want to ruin my day by fighting with her. Then I left my house around 9:30am. I went to my dentist because my bracket was detached from my tooth and I was having a problem speaking. When I arrived at her clinic she was still not there and I waited 1hr for her. Luckily she only took 30mins to fix it. Next plan go at AIEP, I was already late so I had to move fast.
When I arrived at AIEP, they were having a meeting, and it was all about….. secret… So I started work at 1pm.
Hmmm to tell you guys honestly, this was not the usual Friday for AIEP because it was so quiet I didn’t know where the people were! Even all the specialists were busy.
Well, I hope later will be a better time because today is Friday! TGIF! Time to enjoy, hang out, smile, be wild, and get wasted!
Share on FacebookDo you have exhausting, but exhilarating and rewarding weekends? Those are the Saturdays and Sundays when you have so much to do, and you’re so tired doing so many things. But you don’t mind because you were in the company of good friends, good food, and good laughs.
This past weekend was a fun and crazy one for me. On Friday, we went to watch GI Joe. I remember watching the cartoons when I was growing up in Hawaii. I watched with nine friends. The next day, I conducted two four-hour workshops followed by an English club meeting that lasted till 9 pm. Right after that, we headed to my condo in Eastwood City to play poker. We even played blackjack and “tong its,” a popular Filipino card game. Few of my friends slept over, and we woke up just in time to play badminton. We played at The Zone in Makati. It was great running into clients there.
Then after playing badminton, we decided to go back to the condo to swim at the pool. Unfortunately, it was so cold, so we decided to watch a DVD instead. We watched, The Happening. We were all so sleepy and tired by that time. Aaagh. A sigh of relief. A sigh of content!
I love weekends like this. I’m exhausted. But I’m also reenergized!!!

When forty winters shall besiege thy brow,
And dig deep trenches in thy beauty’s field,
Thy youth’s proud livery, so gaz’d on now,
Will be a tatter’d weed, of small worth held:
Then being ask’d where all thy beauty lies,
Where all the treasure of thy lusty days,
To say, within thine own deep-sunken eyes,
Were an all-eating shame and thriftless praise.
How much more praise deserv’d thy beauty’s use,
If thou couldst answer, ‘This fair child of mine
Shall sum my count, and make my old excuse,’
Proving his beauty by succession thine!
This were to be new made when thou art old,
And see thy blood warm when thou feel’st it
cold.
I arrived at AIEP 9:30am, I saw Marryanne using my computer playing restaurant city and farm town in facebook. She cannot use her computer because Jason broke her computer! hehe! Then Jason arrived, Marryann asked Jason to fix her computer. It only took 5mins for Jason to fix her computer.Maryanne is so happy and she started playing her games until now.
Neysa started teaching 9am with Lim’s family, then she had her lunch break 12-1pm. She also taught Ahmad a very cool Arabian guy who knows a lot of Filipino words, after Ahmad she took over Lucky. Lucky is a very talkative student, he wants to so many things.
Let’s go with Mia, the first thing she’s going to do is to open her computer, then YM then talk to her bf in U.S. That’s her daily routine, it never fail! Mia taught Evelyn, it’s Evelyn’s last day. She is one of the best 1 on 1 student, she never skip class. During their break Mia will talk to her bf. That’s every break and while eating lunch. And let me share you a secret she always giggles even in a simple word. I always laugh whenever she’s doing that. Mia is teaching C3 right now, she’s giving her student a hard time! hehe!
Carmen. Carmen has been here since 8am, teaching C3. So far so good because her class is getting bigger again. I can’t share so much when it comes to carmen because she’s kind of quite. She wants to focus with her work and her sports. To tell you honestly I’m scared of her. hehe!
Vin hmmm Vin is usually busy with paper works. but this afternoon he is busy dealing with clients. First two ladies who’s asking for something that they already know, second I don’t know. But it sounds like business…. After this second guy there will be a third guy, lucky. because he wants to share his hours with his friends. haaaayyyy….
Chris??? I don’t where he is, but he is always saying that he is always here. We can still his presence….. scary… hehe!
Me… What am I doing??? you will see me in live cam, dancing! wahaha…
Share on FacebookToday is July 1. I love July. It’s my birth month. It’s also middle of the summer. I love July.

Today, I quit smoking again for the second time. The last time I quit smoking was on January 1, 2008. It was my New Year’s resolution. I was able to NOT smoke for about 16 months. Then a couple of months ago, I smoked again due to stress, anger, rebellion, and sheer stupidity.
Two months later, I’m quitting again. It will just be mind over matter. I’m not addicted.

Share on FacebookI am so blessed to have friends likes the ones I have. They are my sponges when the going gets rough. They always know what to say and what to do to always bring a smile to my face. Just the other day one of my close friend sent me a “Miss you” card. She’s only about 30 minutes away or even a phone call away but with our busy schedules with work, family life, married life, and just life in general, we seldom have the time to even see each other. These days we would consider ourselves lucky if we saw each other at least once in a year. It was a surprise to received the card after having a dreadful night. It’s just what I needed. It cheered me up and made me feel lucky that no matter what happens I have my friends always looking out for me no matter how far or near they are.
“A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out.”

Yes. You read the title right.
Let me repeat. Are you a credit card?

Are you sleek and shiny? From time to time, I may act like a credit card, sleek and shiny. My friends, family, colleagues, friends of friends, and clients will see the sleek and shiny me. They will see my best foot forward. They will see my shiny smile and my sleek attitude.
From time to time, not ALL the time. I think there’s a need to be sleek and shiny from time to time. You need it for specific occasions. For example, when you go over to your boyfriend or girlfriend’s house, you smile politely even if you don’t get along with one member of the family. You pretend you like your mom-in-law’s cooking, even if you think you just ate cardboard. At work, you are all sleek and smile with your boss or colleague even if you think they are jerks. Perhaps your boss or colleagues are all sleek and smile with you because they think you are a, well, uh, you know…

Are you sleek and shiny? Are you sleek and shiny…a PLASTIC? Me, I am from time to time. I put up a front. I put up a defense. That’s from time to time. Not so much, though. I know when to play my cards right. I know when and where to charge my credit cards.
Are you plastic from time to time, just like me? I admit, I do behave like that once in a while. I can’t help it. I’d rather be polite than cause a commotion. Maybe that’s just discretion. Not so much being plastic. Maybe I’m not plastic after all. Ah! Self-revelation. I wasn’t being plastic. I was just practicing discretion. Discretion, as they say, is the better part of valor. So there, I am not a plastic from time to time. I am just polite.
Being plastic, therefore, involves a lot more. It involves a chronic attitude. It involves habitual behavior. Being plastic means the negativity, the fakeness, the falsehood run in deep in your blood. It is entrenched. You are not just a “from time to time” or “once in a while” person. You ARE plastic itself.
We have friends who are plastic. We have bosses who are plastic. We have family members who are plastic. We have colleagues who are plastic. Are you one of them?
I hope not. I hope I don’t become one either.
So are you a credit card. You look sleek. You look shiny. You look like you got lots of credit. But deep down inside, you have lots of debt. You are overdrawn. You have zero balance. Your interest is high. You are about to file bankruptcy? Worst of all, you go to the check out counter, with lots of goodies in your cart, and your credit card declines!!!
At the end of the day, you are nothing but a piece of plastic.
So, are you a credit card? Do you know people who are plastic? Beware, I maybe one of them. Hehe.

We are inviting the general public to an exciting event:

Share on FacebookHave you gone through years of schooling, yet still unable to fully express yourself in English? For many of us, we wonder why, with all these years of education, from kindergarten through college, we are still unable to speak English the way we want to. Now, we want to improve, and we want to know an effective, but cost efficient way of enhancing our communication skills.
I would highly recommend joining groups or organizations that are geared towards learning English. One example would be the Universal Pro English Club (UPEC). Joining such groups that facilitate discussions, debates, and conversations through events such as trips, parties, and get-togethers is one way to learn while having fun and expanding your networks.
Remember, birds of a feather flock together. If you want to be a basketball player, be around basketball players. If you want to be a singer, join a choir. If you want to be an English speaker, join groups that speak or teach English.
For more information about UPEC, visit http://aiepro.org/index.php/board,8.0.html.
