Testimonials
Denmark Pilongo
Customer Service Specialist

"I am glad I found The American Institute because they helped me in improving my conversation fluency and developing my confidence. At first, I was very intimidated when speaking in English, but I became more and more comfortable. I am currently working as customer service specialist in the BPO/Call Center industry, and I have The American Institute to thank for. I am still a part of the institute through their English Club called Universal Pro-English Club. We've done many activities including trips to Baguio, Lucena, interview strategies, and many more so that we can use English in a natural setting."

Alice Anod
Accountant and Auditor

"The English language Specialists are very different from all the teachers I've had in high school or college. Most teachers I've had in the past were very strict and distanced themselves from the students, but these guys will make you feel like you're one of them. In fact, we call them by their first names, not "sir" or ma'am." They respect us as students with individuality, and at the same time, we respect them for their knowledge and expertise. I used to work for a relatively small local bank, but now I work for a major international firm after developing my speech and communication skills through them."

Elaine Villafuerte
Hotel Operations Specialist

"Before I came to The American Institute, I was already somewhat confident with my English; I simply wanted to polish my speech and communication skills. What I found was that I had so much more to learn. They really taught me how not to just speak English, but how to speak WELL. I was able to improve my critical thinking skills and became a more organized speaker. Now, I work for a five-star hotel, and I am so much more confident when dealing with local executives as well as foreign business professionals. I would highly recommend their services."

I would really love to travel across Europe.  I've heard of so many stories about backpackers and travelers, and they tell me that it's an awesome experience.  You will learn about many cultures, and you will see the beauty of different places.  I've heard it's very expensive, but if I could earn enough money to backpack across Europe, I would definitely do it with a group of friends.

Same as Chris, I also want to go to Europe. It is my desire to see how people perceive the world base on the western point of view. I know that cultural difference can be the cause of barrier between individuals, but eliminating that barrier would pave way for a better understanding of each other.

I want to go to Paris and visit the Louvre Museum because I yearn to see with my own eyes if Monalisa really has a mysterious smile. I also want to observe the Greek influence in the creation of Venus De Milo.  Grin Grin

I've always had this childhood fascination to travel. The thought of meeting lots of people from different countries, of different races, trying out authentic food in each country am planning to visit, takings gazillions of pictures, collecting unique life experiences are my motivations to fulfill this wanderlust in me.

Trip to Cambodia? Would looove to. Shopping trip to Divisoria, why not? Hong Kong? Right this minute. Backpacking across Europe? Sheesh, it's my ultimate dream. London, Barcelona, Paris, Nice, Florence, Milan, Venice, Lucerne, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Athens...

Since i was a child, i  really wanna go to provinces where you can smell fresh air, swim in clear waters, and look at lots of trees and flowers.I always love to travel and explore!
On vacations, i want to go to Romblon. It is the province of my father. I love to go there because there are lots of white sand beaches where you can relax all day.You can also go boating and island hopping. The food also tastes great. Seafoods are always fresh. You can also go boating and island hopping. You can also visit some historical sites and go mountain climbing.

It's always been a dream of mine to set foot in Japan and Europe. It's in one of my "things to do before I die" list. Japan because I've always been interested in their culture. Hawaii attracts many Japanese tourist every year and 16.7% japanese americans settles here in Hawaii. I've already have some sort of connections to their culture but I'd love to actually experience in it in thier own enviroment as well. Europe because there's so many history written all over that place. It will be like going back in time and seeing physical evidence right there in front of you. I would love to visit St. Peter's-Vatican City, visit the religious sites, and go on the gondola hopefully with a special someone Grin.

I would love to have a vacation in New Zealand!  Grin I was inspired by the movie "The Lord of the Rings", the movie was shot in beautiful places around the said country. I fell in love with the place on the first time I saw it in the movie. The place which I liked most was the home of the Elves and secondly the Hobbits' home. which I saw in "The Making of LOTR". It seems like a very peaceful place, has a wide land of greenery and has adventurous mountains.  Grin Grin Grin

Europe would be a really interesting and adventurous vacation... and I love adventures!

I heard a lot from people who did backpacking in Europe, and I actually got some tips to save money and make use of vacation time while exploring the continent.  But spending Euro one way or the other would be expensive since the dollar conversation is still pretty low.

For a cheaper adventure, South East Asia is the place to be.

I met a chick on the plane last summer on my way to Manila but we didn't get a chance to talk much.  When I get back here, I learned that she was country hopping in SEA -- Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, etc.  And she told me she didn't spend a lot.  So, as an alternative, I think Asia is the way to go... besides it has some security risks, which add up to the adventure.  Grin

I would also love to go to Tokyo. One of the reasons for my aspiration is that I love watching anime. Japanese animators have a different way of conveying stories compared to what is conventional...
If you would go to Japan, tell me about the cherry blossoms =)

I've landed on Japanese soils many times via Japan Airlines, but I never got the chance to roam the city.  It was in Narita.  We only had half to a day to spend at the hotel before we would take the connecting flight.  But the bus ride from the airport to our hotel was great; The landscapes were great, the roads and air were clean, and everything looked very, very organized.  Hey, it's a world class country.  I had a chance to walk around the area, but I decided to stay by the hotel.  It was my first time to try a Japanese style restroom.  I would really love to explore Japan.

I have always dreamt of going to different countries particularly in Asia, Europe and Australia. I think these places are the most romantic places to go to. It is really fascinates me to study their languages, culture, and try out the exotic food they have. I would say these continents are beautiful indeed. Not to mention, our country, Philippines is one of the most beautiful places we truly can be proud of. Smiley

Hola!
Buenos diaz!
Que tal? Bien? Si o no? hehe Smiley

I went to Spain last summer vacation, because I joined the program of IFS (Institute for Foreign Studies.)I stayed in Salamanca for 3 weeks (tres semanas) and 2 weeks in Seville (dos semanas.) We also had excursions in Madrid, Avila, Segovia, Granda, and Cordova.
It was a wondeful experience. We studied the Spanish language and culture in a foreign school named ENFOREX. We learned a lot and adopted their culture. We stayed in our respective host families which are ofcourse, Spanish people. Our host families do not speak English at all, that's  why we were forced to speak in spanish when we conversed with them at home. hahaha. We used a lot  of hand gestures because we had a hard time talking with them.
We also watched Spanish movies, live football game, bull fight, and flamenco. I can't wait to go back to Spain and meet our host families and Spanish professors again.  I'm planning to review and enhance my Spanish language by taking up lessons at Instituto de Cervantes. Smiley

Hasta Pronto! Adios! Wink

Right now, I am in a van somewhere on the road in Batangas headed to a resort in Anilao. I have never been there, but fortunately, a good friend has invited Vinnie and me to conduct team build workshops for her group. I can't wait to go scuba diving. I hope I will have a chance to do it. Otherwise, it will be snorkeling. And I hope it won't rain.

I would really love to spend my vacation in Japan! My brother promised me that if I graduated next semester, we will spend our summer vacation there. I admire the country because of their people. They are very disciplined and punctual. I think we Filipinos should look up to the characteristics of the Japanese. I believe that if I go to Japan, I will find my inner peace.  Cheesy

I've travelled quite a bit and I've been to Singapore, Malaysia, Battam (Indonesia), Australia and LA (USA), but have never been to any part of Europe...given the chance, I'd like to go to the UK, Ireland and Rome and see the castles and experience history.
